Venture To Reduce Oral Health Disparity
One of the major goals of our organization is to decrease disparities. Despite the improved oral health, the disparities still exist. Non-Hispanic Blacks, Hispanics, and American Indians/Alaska Natives generally have the poorest oral health of any of the racial and ethnic groups in the United States. African American adults are more likely than other racial or ethnic minorities to have periodontal disease. Most oral diseases and conditions are complex and represent the combination of interactions between genetic, socioeconomic, behavioral, environmental, and general health influences. Multiple factors may act together to place some women at higher risk for oral diseases. For example, the comparative longevity of women compromised physical status over time, and the combined effects of multiple chronic conditions, often with multiple medications, can result in an increased risk of oral disease.

Our organization has been mailing manufacture coupons to the low-income community members to increase the utilization rate of dental products as our research report reveals that financial constraints play an important role in accessing dental products. More than 20% of the community members are unable to purchase dental products which result in poor oral health. Moreover, we offer subscription services to electric toothbrushes at affordable prices to the members of our organization and our community members.
The subscription services have been introduced recently in the dental field to increase the utilization rate of electric toothbrushes due to its advantages over the mechanical toothbrushes. We provide a survey question to evaluate the affordability of our members and then will convince them with our subscription plans.
