Tongue Thrust

Babies usually have a reflex to keep the tongue forward and out of their mouth during feeding . The sucking reflex helps babies to suck and swallow the milk and food . The reflex should not exist more than six month of babies age. The child may get a condition where they always keeps their tongue in forward position which is called Tongue Thrust. The tongue causes dental problems such as poor oral hygiene and orofacial dysfunction.
